So for 2011 I have 2 big costume plans I want to make.
And when I say big, I mean BIG
because I'm thinking of going back to school, my money funds will shrink. So only 2 big plans for next years.

First, I want to make the beautifull green dress Mina wears in Dracula, when she meets him for the first time.
It is so beautifull, way better then the red bustledress that everybody loves and makes.
I want to make a new corset, bustle, petticoat, skirt with the beautifull "waterfalls" at the back, coat, and hat.
a lot of work, and a lot of money



pretty isn't it?

Second one is the Pirates of the caribean gold gown that Elizabeth Swann wears when she faints.
It will incluse, corset, chemise, pockethoops, the dress of course and the hat.
Again a lot of work, and I want to do it right, no bad looking dresses for me!

Castlefest feels like a long long time ago.
It was fun, although saterduy and sunday it rained.
LIKE HELL

So i finished both my dresses, my blue edwardian and my beautifull phantom of the opera dress. But only worn by edwardian dress.

Pink and creme tule weren't a good combination with mud and rain.
So i'm saving it for Elf Fantasy Fair in  Arcen, and lets hope it's going to be nice weather!

A while ago I had a fun shoot with shirley, puurphotoart.
She is amazing!

finally, I've got my package friday,
With stay and busk, and this wonderfull umbrella, with a wooden handle. It is really pretty and it's gonna look great with my costume.
so this weekend i went cutting my stays like crazy and i'm almost done. Then i can place the busk, and finishing the corset!
Then i need to hurry with the rest of my costume. The whole dress with guimpe, and hat.

They better make pictures of me when I'm done, or else somebody is going to get hurt!

my boyfriend is going to get me awesome gold buttons with sailor stuff on it!

maybe not very original, but i like it.

so i am still waiting for my stays and busk etc to arrive.
The shop accidently send me the wrong package, and somebody else got mine.
Wich is not a big deal, we solved it, but I still don't got mine T_T
But i expect it today!

My parents went on a vacation today.
So I got the house for myself!
Too bad that I don't got a lot of time to do some sewing.
And I need to make my entire edwardian outfit, a country lolita skirt, and a sailor lolita skirt
D;

I hope the gods of sewing are going to be nice for me, and let me finish everything

So I bought awesome fabrics for my edwardian dress.
Very blue satin, and when I say blue, I really mean BLUE
and this gorgeos fabric as overlay. It's a kind of lace, with silver flowers and leafs on it.
It is simply divine!

As for the corset:
it is almost done!
I'm still waiting on the busk and stays to arrive at my house, but the corset itself is done.
I bought pretty insertation lace with a pink ribbon.
A pink ribbon for lacing in the back, and some gorgeos aiglets to finish the ribbons.
And pink thread for the flossing.
I can't wait to finish it!

i also ordered the stuff I need for my hat.
It's going to be big, black en blue.
And with a giant bow on it!

For an event called Castlefest, one of the 3 dresses i am going to make/wear is a Edwardian dress
Think titanic style.
Of course, this needs a good corset!

I am using the past patterns 106.





I am using white canvas (naughty! No coutil). All the parts are stitched together, with special lapped seams.
Still need to buy the busk and steel stays.
I am going to finish it with pink
  • A pink ribbon trough the insertation lace
  • Pink ribbon on the back
  • and pink flossing
